I like to plan my vacations plenty of time in advance so I don't forget anything major. Also, it makes it easier to make adjustments to plans if anything exciting or conflicting comes up.
The planning for this Vegas trip was all on my shoulders. I wanted to find lots of things to do as options, not requirements. It was important that I found a place that was affordable for all of my guests, as well as offer some entertainment.
We chose to stay at Circus Circus. Originally some of my family had planned on bringing kids, so this was the obvious choice. It turned out that no kids came, but we still enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have the options of watching circus act and going to the amusement park, as well as the normal casino stuff and swimming pools.
The Circus Circus website was fairly helpful. I went on lots of searches, googling "free stuff to do in Vegas," and "best Vegas attractions." I also shopped around for car rental deals. Additionally, I printed out lots of google maps.
To find the restaurant for our wedding dinner, I used opentable.com. It was really helpful in finding the right price, atmosphere, and accommodations. I also got club passes from freevegasclubpasses.com.
